How to Create and Enable SMS Campaign?

Click on the Create button in the SMS Campaign menu to begin.

  1. Enter a campaign name.

The first thing you need to do is give your campaign a name. It won't be visible to customers, so just put something short and simple that will help you distinguish this campaign from others in the future.

2. Select the type where you start the campaign.

3. Select target segments that you have set up in advance.

4. Prepare your message

  • Every type of campaign will have templates you can choose; click the templates button to select, saving you time and making it easy to spin up a new campaign.
  • You can personalize your campaigns even more by using shortcodes that fetch customer information directly, and remember to set up your discount value.

Important: Some mobile carriers require opt-out language in text marketing messages to prevent spam complaints.

In order to make sure you stay compliant at all times, the STOP to opt out verbiage (or unsubscribe link for numbers outside the US ) is automatically included in your message.

Make sure you don't delete it by accident before saving your automation. If you do, you can always add it from the checkbox below the text box.

Message Length.

A single message (SMS) contains up to 160 characters. If you exceed this number by anywhere between 1 and 153 characters, the message counter will calculate it as a second SMS and you will be charged for 2 messages.

In case you go above 320 characters, you will be billed for 3 messages and so on. You can also add emojis, but remember they'd reduce the total character count from 160 to 70 per message.

5. Set timing sending

You can choose to send your message at a specific time that you want from the toggle switch, just choose the date and type the time, and Keep in mind that the minimum is 1 minute.

Maximum has no limits. If you prefer to leave it disabled, the campaign will be saved to the SMS Campaign menu immediately after you click the submit.

6. Intelligent sending

You can select to enable intelligent sending or not. We recommend you enable it. Then the customer who has received a message will not receive the message within 16 hours again.

7. Preview and test your message

The message preview on the right allows you to see how your text message will appear on recipients` phones. You can also send yourself a test message by clicking on the blue button.

Important: In order to preview the message, links, and shortcodes of the message preview are simulated. When the message is saved, the shortcode in the message sent will be replaced with the true information.

8. Review the Campaign
Then you can review your campaign to check in details before you send the campaign, and make sure that everything works the way it is supposed to - remember always to double-check your links and shortcodes!
Click on the button of the review campaign.

9. Submit your campaign

The last step is to submit your campaign, then click on the submit button to start the campaign.
